Do you have a story about a historical Heywoodite to share on this website? I am looking for submissions from people with information to share about an ancestor or another Heywood person from history.

You can send your material as a word doc or email text to dawsonchris@outlook.com and I will format it for display on the ‘Heywood Folk’ page.

Submissions don’t have to be long, and images are very welcome too.

I am especially looking for stories about the ordinary people of Heywood. To keep it historical I am looking for information about people who died over 40 years ago, although exceptions can be made in special cases. Please remember this is not intended to be an obituary page for your friends or family.

Please note: Family History is OK but no more than two submissions per family.
